ALL SET AND READY TO GO
Four more days before we fly to Paris on route to Morocco. Are we ready??? We will only know when the race starts on April 8th. I have looked at my gear 10 times, packing and repacking. Trying to get the overall weight down. Even cut the handle of my plastic spoon and now it is too short to stir the pot.
Must admit, I am really excited and looking forward to the agony. In the 6 months that I have trained, I have lost 2 kg instead of the 6kg I planned. This is inspite of daily 3-4 hours on the road. Too late to do anything about it. In fact, in a few days I will start to carbo-load and probably put back the 2 kg I lost. My aim is to show that ordinary man and woman can finish the "toughest footrace on earth".
We have exceeded the target of RM100,000 for P3KU. My thoughts are frequently with the friends who have so kindly donated to the fund. In my opinion, your good intentions so greatly exceed the effort I am putting in.
